THE CHRISTMAS POEM
On Christmas Eve we're happy,
On Christmas Day we smile.
At Christmas time we worship,
Our Christ the baby child.
He's gone to be with the Father,
He's pleading for you and for me.
While we sing sweet songs of Christmas,
Around the old Christmas tree.
The family gifts are given,
The tree is shining so bright.
We thank our God for Christmas,
The gift of the Holy Child.
This season let's be jolly,
This season give with cheer.
And let's all give thanks to the Father,
Then we'll have a Happy New Year.
The New Year now grows closer,
And there's so much we should do.
Like praising the name of Jesus,
This season for guiding us through.
Give Him all praise and glory,
And never once waver your smile.
Thank God for this holiday season,
Give love it will all be worthwhile.
