Your's in Christ, The Reverend Cecil Smith
IF WE WOULD BE CONSIDERATE
If we could only be just like the farmer's almanac,
Then we could look ahead and we would never once look back.
If only we would set our sights on heaven up above,
And thank the blessed Saviour for His mercy and His love.
If we would be considerate like the folks we ought to be,
Then we would have a light to shine for all the word to see.
And if we'd be the kind of folks to lend a helping hand,
I'm sure there wouldn't be a thing we couldn't understand.
And if we'd only try to walk the path that Jesus trod,
Then each and everyone of us could keep in touch with God.
And with the knowledge that we have of all His saving grace,
We know it was the Father's will that He should take our place.
So as He took our place alone that day on Calvary,
It was with love He shed His precious blood for you and me.
Let's thank Him now for He has given man the victory,
And thank Him for the fact that by His love we now are free.
