FAMOUS WORDS
Famous words that once were said,
I've heard them all before.
But words alone cannot replace,
The love my Saviour bore.
No, words alone are not enough,
For humble eyes to see.
And Christ gave more than famous words,
To save the likes of me.
Yes, on the cross He shed His blood,
That you and I could live.
And famous words He spoke for me,
Was "Father, Please forgive".
I'm thankful for those precious words,
That only Christ could say.
What more on earth could one man do,
He gave us life that day.
