A LONG WALK WITH HIM
Through all of the storms and the troubles of life,
He walks by my side as my Lord and my guide.
And though I may stumble and sometimes I fall,
He's always close by me whenever I call.
He walks by my side in the cold and the rain,
And though friends forsake me he never complains.
So as I wander down life's weary road,
My burdens are lighter for He shares my load.
If only our nation could walk in His way,
And ask Him to help with the problems today.
Our Congress would grin and our Senate would smile,
For God walks in love and His way is worthwhile.
He never forsakes and He's here till the end,
There's no one on earth like this wonderful friend.
I'll give Him the praise just for setting me free,
Thank you dear Lord, for your long walk with me.
